Blues in All Its Colors - ongoing exhibit (TX)
Houston, Texas

The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park, and the Houston Blues Museum invite you to this unique exhibit. Houston blues legends come to life in this exhibit of art posters of musicians like Sam "Lightnin" Hopkins and Pete "Love You Madly" Mayes.  The exhibit will also feature one-of-a kind pieces from personal collections of blues artists, including guitars and memorabilia from performances.

In 2009, artist Martin Miglioretti began a series of poster tributes to Houston blues legends. The designs hail the iconic imagery of Houston's native blues royalty. Artists from the early Peacock Records days share the spotlight with 1980s Rockefellers stalwarts. The posters are infused with the vibrant rainbow colors of the vintage show cards of Liberty Hall, Eldorado Ballroom and Pleasure Pier in Galveston.
